All girls are born a princess, yet so many don’t know this or see this in themselves. Many girls think that the only way they matter is if they have a partner. They think that this partner makes them whole. The truth of the matter is that each girl, actually every person, is whole within themselves. When God made you and called you by name, you were called by one name, not many. As you grow and develop your core self – who you are: your sense of being, your integrity and your identity – you are who you are in and of yourself…a you to grow and celebrate. When another comes into your life and criticizes you, controls you and abuses you, that person wants to tear you a part and down so that you lose yourself. DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN! You’ve done nothing wrong, so don’t take blame for another’s actions. If you need, talk with someone, tell a friend, a teacher, a parent. If you are told to keep this secret know that this is abuse.
